Master of None and Generational Changes

We start the podcast with our usual banter and teasing before talking about Aziz Ansari’s Master of None. We talk a bit about brown comedy and which brown comedians are accepted and which are not. This leads us to talking about an episode of Master of None where Aziz deals with generational changes. We talk about growing up in immigrant families and being more “American” than our parents. We discuss dating and American customs and how they were received by the older generation. We reflect on what happens to culture over time. Will the generation after us have even less connection the culture of their grandparents?
