Louis CK, Hasan Minaj, and Digital Privacy

We start our podcast with a short anecdote from Diz’s youth before commenting on the latest Louis CK controversy. We highlight the hypocrisy of the public figures who promoted themselves as allies and how quick they turn when they’re exposed. We discuss the nature of comedy and censorship. This brings in Saudi Arabia censoring Hasan Minaj. We dig deep into the debate about PC culture vs censorship and argue that PC culture is a manufactured  crisis and not at all like censorship. Finally this leads us to discussing the nature of digital privacy. We examine recent Washington Post article where a parent blogger selfishly violates her daughter’s right to privacy. We talk about the nature of social media and its impact on the way we conceive of privacy both our own and others’.
