We talk about movies that bravely broke the way for the current trend by being the first of their kind. Ali brings up Hellboy and how it was part of a class of early comic book movies that opened the door and tried to be a faithful adaptation. We discuss how that group of movies included Daredevil which was a disaster. This leads us in different directions as we each make a case for comic book movies, debating the Tim Burton Batman movies against the Christopher Nolan, discussing the Crow and even anime.
