Thailand, McChicken, & Colin Kaepernick

Clearly this podcast has descended into madness. We start by talking about Vy’s trip to Thailand and all the memorable experiences he has. After certainly offending the whole world with outright ignorance we end up in the weird topic of a violated McChicken sandwich. Somehow that relates to Roman history and even Catherine the Great. Finally we talk about Colin Kaepernick and his refusal to stand for the national anthem. We discuss the issue of the First Amendment and Second Amendment and the selective support of certain American principles. We talk about the transformation of the flag from a symbol into a patriotic litmus test and the dogmatism of nationalism. We look at how black athletes in particular deal with extra scrutiny.
