Gitmo, Apple, and Kesha

We put on our thinking hats as we take a look at the latest coming out of the news. We talk a bit out the crazy laws in the United States, how Trump has gone from a joke candidate to actually winning by massive margins–Ali again restates his theory on Trump’s rise. We talk about the President’s plan to close Gitmo and the crazy response of the right. We examine their objections and find a good amount of nuttiness there. This leads us to talk about the rise of fascism in the United States and the battle between the FBI and Apple. We talk about the balance between security and liberty and where we stand. Eventually talking about mega corporations we discuss the battle between Kesha and Sony and the ugly nature of the music industry. We talk about how commodities are more important for our system than people and what implications this has for women trying to report their abusers.
